SHADE COLLECTIVE

WARRANTY?

INTRODUCTION

Shade Collective Pty Ltd will provide the original purchaser a limited warranty on our products and (where applicable) installation services supplied by Shade Collective Pty Ltd  to be free of manufacturing and (where applicable) installation faults for a period of 5 years from the date of delivery or (where applicable) installation and or industry services supplied by Shade Collective Pty Ltd.

 

The warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and only applies to custom made products in the original windows for which the product was measured, ordered and intended.

1. Warranty

 

1.1 Shade Collective Pty Ltd’s products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.  You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure of the product or service.  You are also entitled to have the products or services repaired or replaced if the products or services fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure (the ‘Warranty’).

1.2 You may make a claim under this clause for material defects and workmanship in the products and services within 5 years from the date of purchase (the ‘Warranty Period’).  The Warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and applies to custom made products and where applicable installation services supplied by Shade Collective Pty Ltd for the original windows for which the product was measured, ordered and intended.

1.3 In order to make a Warranty Claim during the Warranty period, you must provide proof of purchase of the products or services, provide a description of the products or services performed and the price paid for the products or services by sending written notice to Shade Collective Pty Ltd at PO BOX 2132, Richmond, Victoria, 3121 or by email at info@shadecollective.com.au

1.4 Where the Warranty Claim is accepted, Shade Collective Pty Ltd will, at its sole discretion, either repair or replace any defective products or services or part thereof with a new or remanufactured equivalent during the Warranty period at no charge to you for parts or labour. 

 

1.5 The Warranty shall be the sole and exclusive warranty granted by Shade Collective Pty Ltd and shall be the sole and exclusive remedy available to you in addition to other rights and under law in relation to the products and services to which this warranty relates.

1.6 All implied warranties including the warranties for merchantability and fitness for use are limited to the Warranty Period.

1.7 Our Warranty does not cover the following:

a) Claims made by anyone other than the original purchaser of the product.

b) Claims made on a product or service that was not paid in full as per the invoice.

c) Goods or services performed by Shade Collective Pty Ltd with damage caused by accidents or misuse, abuse, alterations, improper handing, improper cleaning, improper operation, normal wear and tear, fabric fray from prolonged use, exposure to salt air, corrosives, damage from insects, animals and domestic pets, wind damage or colour change caused by solar or other heat sources.

d) Damage, wear and tear or altered operation caused by the movement of the surrounding structure or premises.

e) Algae and fungal growth caused by moisture, build up of dirt, grime, leaves or animal matter.

f) Damage or faults caused due to wind or rain through the window/door, any penetration or through cross breezes, air conditioning or heating turbulence.

g) Damage caused by the removal of goods and/or reinstallation of goods by someone other than a qualified Shade Collective Pty Ltd installer.

h) Disposable batteries in any battery-operated product. Battery life will vary depending on the size, weight and use of the product installed.
